This week, World Race: Gap Year participant Ellie Zeller gives us a glimpse into what it looks like to serve in Quito, Ecuador with our ministry partner, The Dunamis Foundation. The Dunamis Foundation serves underaged girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking and sexual abuse, teaching them life skills while providing a Christ-centered environment focused on restoration and reintegration into the world as healthy young women. Check out Ellie's story!

Throughout Month 6 and Month 7 of my World Race, my team and I had the privilege of serving the Dunamis Foundation, located in Quito, Ecuador. This ministry rescues underaged girls from sex trafficking and abuse, then provides them with them with housing, food, and a transformative lifestyle that will prepare them for a successful future.

I had the honor of walking alongside ten young girls that were once victims of sex trafficking and abuse, and watched them step into the abundant life that the Father has for them. There were days spent on my knees crying and hurting with the girls, and there were days spent jumping for joy with them as they felt their hearts being restored little by little -- moments that will forever be close to my heart.

The work that this ministry is doing is fruitful, righteous, and holy. I spent every day in awe of the transformation I saw happening right in front of my eyes -- the lives of the oppressed coming to be redeemed and restored, just as Jesus has asked of us.

I figured that this partnership was too beautiful to be kept to myself, so I utilized what I have been given to share it with the world. I created this video for you to get a look into the heart of this foundation, and the fruit of walking alongside them.

I pray that you watch with a heart softened for His children, a mind open to learning more about what is going on in this world, and a desire to stand up and take action.

You could serve alongside ministry partners like The Dunamis Foundation on the World Race: Gap Year, bringing resources, support, and new enthusiasm to their mission to reach people in their communities.
